Date Palm Partnership: Neve Harif – Ardom
Neve-Harif Ardom partnership began in 2007. Due to the very high costs of establishing new palm groves, Kibbutz Neveh Harif searched for a financial partner. Mr. Dubi Kadishai, Ardom’s CEO at the time was the one who took on the challenge. Ardom M&H made the decision to enter a partnership with Neve-Harif.
The partnership now includes 100 acres of Medjool dates. 50 acres near Kibbutz Elifaz (and operated by Elifaz) and 50 additional acres near Kibbutz Lotan (and operated by Lotan).
As of 2012 the plantation has started to yield crops. The first harvest yielded 5 tons of dates. The 2015 harvest yielded 75 tons and the forecast for 2016 is about 100 tons of Medjool dates.
All the dates are packaged by Ardom Regional Factories and are marketed by The Daklaim.
The partnership is managed by representatives of Kibbutz Neveh Harif – Ofer Tzeiri and Yigal Allon and by representatives of Ardom management and holding company Idit Garfunkel (CEO) and Miriam Segal (CFO).
